Youth in Motion has
been a leader in the design and implementation of mentoring programs.
Our goal is to inspire and encourage youth to realize their potential
by connecting them to role models in the world of work. The mentoring
component of Top 20 Under 20T, therefore, provides award
winners with a once in a lifetime opportunity to be connected to one
of Canada's leaders by way of a mentoring experience.
The Top 20 Under 20T mentoring program provides a connection
between accomplished leaders in Canada and the next generation of
young leaders in a variety of industries. Each award winner is matched with a leader working in a related field of interest.
Mentors are accomplished individuals who are committed to supporting
youth in learning about success in today's workplace.
Creating A Network of Shared Knowledge between Experienced Leaders
(mentors) and new leaders for the Future (Top 20 Award winners)
Mentors and mentees are connected as a group once a month
for an eight month period via conference calls. At
each session, a dynamic keynote speaker delivers a presentation
followed by a facilitated question and answer period. In addition,
mentors and mentees communicate personally via email (and in
person where possible) to share information and experiences about
leadership.
Current (confirmed) speakers for 2005/2006 include:
